10 tips to fit all you need in your small bathroom

The bathroom is a space to relax and unwind and therefore it is essential for one to feel comfortable and not claustrophobic. Here are some tips which will help you fit as many features as possible in your bathroom, no matter how small it may be.

1. Mirrors
Mirrors make any space look bigger than it is in reality and it is a feature you will most definitely need in your bathroom. Make sure to make the best out of this feature and use the maximum mirror area you can on your wall. It will work wonders!

2. Sliding door
Instead of opting for a traditional door, why not opt for a sliding door instead? Apart from making sure the door takes up no space in your already limited area, this feature earns you extra points on the ‘cool scale’ 😉

3. Go for an all-white look
Contrary to what most might assume, going all-white does not only make your space look bigger but it will also make it exude serenity and relaxation. White furniture, white tiles, white accessories etc.… If you really want a touch of color, you can incorporate some in the floor tiles.

4. Mount your towel bar on the door
If you have a shower instead of a bath, why not mount the towel hanger directly on the door? Great space-saver tip!

5. Add a ledge
If you lack space where to place your beauty products, add a ledge on top of the sink. Apart from giving you extra space, it will make your products super handy.

6. Built in shelves
This might not be a possibility for everyone, however if it is an option for you, it is well worth considering. Having built in shelves in your wall will give you storage space without diminishing your bathroom area.

7. Float the vanity
Opt for a floating vanity which can leave you with enough floor space to place other things there such as baskets with towels.

8. Corner sink
When space is limited, you must make use or every inch in a clever way. Consider installing a corner sink which will look cool and allow you extra space for other features you would not like to give up on.

9. Shower Curtain
If you cannot fit a bath or would rather opt for a shower instead, having a shower curtain instead of a shower door will allow you to have more space. You will not need to allow space for the shower to open and if you’re getting tired of the curtain, a new one will transform the mood of your shower room in a jiffy.

10. Continue Floor Tiles
If you are opting for a shower, consider using the same floor tiles for both the shower area as well as the rest of your shower room. Apart from giving continuity to the design, it will make the room look neater and also bigger.
